At Cheer Box, we’re always looking for ways to improve our business so that we create better experiences for our customers, including convenient options for delivery.
One thing that hasn’t sat well with us has been the inequitable shipping costs to those within a postcode. This was primarily because, as with many websites, shipping is based on your postcode and not your physical location from the business who is shipping. For example, those who lived in Bonshaw (with Postcode 3352), just next to postcode 3356 (Deacombe/Sebastopol) were getting charged the same rate as those living at the outer range of the 3352 postcode. Something we wanted to change. We knew we needed to create fair and equitable shipping for all, regardless of the postcode and that’s just what we set out to do.
We’re excited to announce that as of today, all shipping for Cheer Box is now calculated by distance and not your postcode. Meaning that many of you that were in the 3351 and 3352 postcodes will now have cheaper shipping rates applied at checkout.
We’re also excited to announce that because of this improvement, we can now increase our delivery radius from 15km out to 20km, meaning that we now welcome Creswick, Smythesdale, Newtown, Durham Lead, Scotsburn, Sulky, Blowhard, Learmonth and many others into the Cheer Box local delivery zone. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Please also rest assured that if you wish to ‘Click and Collect’ or live outside of our delivery zone, we still offer this as an option and look forward to seeing you also in our shop front as we hand over your special graze. Plus, if you are outside of our shipping zone, and are stuck, just give us a call. We may be able to help.
